The Olsens Expand Fashion Influence... Again

Here is a little bit of fashion news that none of us should be suprised by; Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are spreading their style sense to a junior's line for retail chain J.C. Penney. After the success of their WalMart line, the high-end Elizabeth&James, and the men's store-only line The Row, it makes sense that they would expand to this market.

Olsenboye, named from the Olsen's ancestral last name, will be exclusive to J.C. Penney and will be available in 600 stores in February.

In an article by fashion website WWD, the line is described as a "casual sportswear and accessories collection, that includes denim, bottoms, tops, dresses, skirts, shorts, jackets, handbags, and shoes." The line is priced from $20 to $50.

Below are some of the items Olsenboye will be offering. Click here for the WWD article and here for

This Too Can Be Yours...

So, I have been commenting on Twilight more than I would like, but the whole "buy what they wear in the movies" idea is interesting to me. Fred Flare is accepting pre-orders for the jacket worn by Bella in the movies. At $64 this really is not a bad price tag for a functional jacket and it is especially tempting to those obsessed with vampire series. With the pockets and hood this is a cute jacket. Check it out! Depending on what size and color is ordered, the jacket will ship immediately, on October 30, or November 30.

Also available in olive!

100% cotton

Juniors sizes

Legging It

Leggings have been popular for quite some time now; they have lasted longer than I thought they would. It is with this fall season that I have seen designers branching out into different mediums and styles for leggings. The most common type I've seen are faux leather leggings, which I can't imagine are too comfy. Here's a sample of some of the more outrageous styles designers are putting on the runway and into stores this fall:

Shoe of the Month Experiment!!

So, I follow Kim Kardashian on Twitter and she tweeted about ShoeDazzle! I had no clue what this was so I did some investigating. Basically, you pay $39 a month (shipping included) to get a pair of shoes picked by a personal shopper based on a survey taken when you register. Each month there are five choices and you get to pick from that selection or request a new list.

This seems like a great way to expand the shoe collection, especially if you like to spend most of your extra cash on shoes! And if there is a month where the money isn't there, you can choose to skip a month between the 1st and 5th of that month. Your credit card isn't charged until you make your shoe selection. You can also cancel your account at any time.

Soooo, I have decided to try it out and see if this is as good as it is advertised! I did the survey, which seemed liked it covered most of the style options. The next day I got my shoe choices and I LOVED them. Well, 4 of 5. Which was suprising because I am a super picky shopper. Here are my top 2 picks. I need to decide!!
